Hello,
I don't think anyone gets the stationary AA units, except the 88, because frankly, the 88 is too cheap and too good for being able to shoot at both air and ground units. Other cheap AA units will be more viable alternatives to the 88, if they could just shoot at ground units. I don't know why this isn't implemented, since during the war, flak guns were often used against soft targets to shred up infantries.
* Is this something that I could modify for my own use?
Any plans to make AA be able to shoot at ground units?

Just stick with the 88. I don't think there are any plans adding any other AA's with switching ability. It's kind of shame that the Switch button doesn't get more use, though. There are other units that it would be a nice addition (like DD's being able to switch to AA mode).manticore wrote:So no plan to make it shoot in offense?

I think that is the point of his opinion. He already knows of the 88, but there arent many other AA options worthwhile, and none that can engage ground targets offensively.manticore wrote:Hello,

Yes, you can mod this in equipment.pzeqp file. You have two options:manticore wrote:Yeppers!Does anyone know if it's moddable?
- Make AA unit switchable
- Make its ground attacks unlocked (not used only on defense, but on offense too)
The latter option does not work in 1.04, but will work in 1.05. But this option is a little bit tricky, because most AA units have a non-zero range, and if their ground attack is unlocked, it will be ranged too.
