Should Strat Bombers gain XP slower?

Just wondering. In the vanilla campaign 39 I bought a Ju88 for Norway, and it has nearly reached its 3rd star at the end of the Low Countries scn. It could top 4 stars after 3 scns. Isn't that a bit fast? It's faster than any other unit I have so far. On colonel, if that matters.

Fighters, Stukas and Bombers gain XP extremely fast. There is little resistance early on, the Luftwaffe definitely rules.

This trend will continue and at the Eastern Front you will dominate for a long time. It's there were German Aces had their absurdly high 300+ kills.
But think about 44... I already see my wonderful Luftwaffe getting shot to pieces!
