Can't log into multiplayer

I keep getting error 99 every time I try logging in with this account and I have the serial registered and all too...

This error code was in early version of WitE but has been fixed and removed. Are you sure you are running the latest version?

If it occurs again after updating, retry and see if you are able to progress.

Have you double checked that you have set up any firewalls to allow the game EXE to communicate with the internet?

Login Failure : Error [99]

This message means you are unable to communicate with the server for some reason. Are you able to view & post messages to the forum from the machine you are playing on? We're really not sure what to suggest as its some sort of connection issue specific to your PC. Do you have any other games fromus using the PBEM++ system? In WitE you can use the old style PBEM and attach saved games to e-mails if you cannot get this up and running.

yeah i play FoG and PCorps all the time, oh well, maybe its something specific to WitE and my router, ill try disconnecting that

I'm posting this in case someone has the same problem...it turns out the problem was in internet explorer proxy settings, after i cleared that it all good.

What settings did you change? I have a similar problem.
