Combine existing and new DLCs (carry over core units)
Since I did finish the campaign I think about buying the DLCs.
I wonder what is happening after I will have finished the 39' and the 40' DLC.
If there is a DLC about Barbarossa for example, will I be able to continue with my core units left from the 39' and 40' DLCs.
Or will I have to restart 39' to play all scenarios in a sequence?
Maybe my question is not clear, let me put it this way: can I play '39 and 40' and then wait for the next DLC to continue with my grown up coreunits?

At the end of each campaign you'll have a core force. This can be continued in to the next campaign.
E.g. you could play 39 and take it to 40 and then to 41 and so on. Alternatively you could play 40 and take it to 41 without playing 39. You can start at any year and continue your core on from that point.
Does that make sense?

What is the process for carrying them over? Does the next campaign ask you if you want to carry over?iainmcneil wrote:At the end of each campaign you'll have a core force. This can be continued in to the next campaign.

Damn. I was hoping because I need all the help I can get.Kerensky wrote:Not by default, there are safety measures in place to prevent this. 39 only imports to 40. 40 only imports to 41, and so on.MartyWard wrote:Can I choose my '44 core for the '40 scenario?
But it doesn't mean someone couldn't invent a 'time travel' mod if they really wanted to.
Here's a primer on how the system works:
Step1
Start a new game.

Step2
Play a DLC Campaign.

Step3
Finish the DLC campaign.

Step4
Start a new game again.

Step5
Select the next DLC campaign.

Step6

Step7
Select exactly which core you would like to import (this screen only appears if you have multiple cores saved)
