I guess that's not really all that exciting, except I live in San Francisco, and I've never see this before in all my life outside a Zoo or a youtube channel. 0.o

I think that's a Red-tailed hawk, one of the commonest in the Americas. Very nice pictures. Are there any reptiles in that pond? It might have been after a tasty snack.

It might just be me but I think the hawks are getting bigger than they used to. We have lots of hawks (and other raptors) in this part of the country but I have been noticing them to have enormous wingspans anymore. I’m talking easily 5 to 7 feet.

Second airbornes comment. Nice outdoor living space. Saw a hawk in the back yard years ago, on the kids swing set, having a snack apparently. When we investigated later we found some body parts...
