Hi Shrike.
The cruiser is in a hex with "Sea". This hex you can enter with ships. The other hexes "are shallow sea" you could not enter them with warships, only with transportships.
@DMPTeam, on the opening map of the long campaign (El Agheila, I believe), would it be possible to make the starting airfield a German one? I wanted to buy a core fighter, but wasn't able to deploy it anywhere. I also tried buying a better Italian fighter, but I got a message that there were "not enough unit slots" (even though it says I am allowed to buy 2 core units). That aux Italian biplane is just no match for that enemy Spitfire. Kind of frustrating that I can neither deploy a German fighter nor will it allow me to purchase an Italian one. It would really help if the starting airfield was German as the nearby town is (since buying and deploying German land units didn't pose the same problem).

Hello Agent X!
We intended it that way - to simulate that the German airforce arrived later on. You have to conquer the British airfield - then you can buy planes.

I downloaded and am determined to make some room this weekend to at least play a level or two of this.
Awesome work, though, I think I can say so before playing.

I am down loading this mod now. I noticed on the website there is a hotfix for this mod. I am using the Generic Mod enabler. Where do I instal the hot fix?

In Afrika Korps main folder.
I mean if you have GME, must be something like MODS\Afrika Korps.
But if you want to be sure, just write here how is your folder structure and I'll answer exactly.

Yes I'm using the GME, man I love that program! I've created the Mod folder in the main Panxer Corp folder.
I'm still downloading the mod, I downloaded the hotfix first thinking it was the actual mod.
Do I just copy the files from the hotfix and past them into the Africa Mod folder?
Yes.
This mod come with an installer. If you want to use GME (I do), just install in any folder. After installing copy the folder with Afrika Korps (the one which has the Data, Audio, Graphics.... subfolders) to your GME MODS folder.
Then copy those hotfix files to Afrika Korps main folder. It'll replace some files in the Data and Localization folders.
If you've any problems. Just report. I'll be hanging here for more a couple of hours.
