Looking for more feedback on Streets of Moscow and Demyansk Pocket, the bonus and the final scenario for 1941.

Sorry Kerensky, today was impossible to continueKerensky wrote:Looking for more feedback on Streets of Moscow and Demyansk Pocket, the bonus and the final scenario for 1941.
I lost three Panzer IIIJ already, 2 of them SE and a recon unit. (Moscow)
I just wondered how the Guard Infantry could shoot first in open terrain vs my Panzer IVF and cause some damage.
They even damaged attacking Stukas! Brrr.
Their Hard Attack of 6 makes them especially dangerous.
It's definitely hard, I can only afford normal replacements by now and have around 1000 Prestige. That works, I conquer some hexes and these pay nicely for damage as long as I use normal reinforcements. Which isn't really nice, as it weakens my core.
I would advise against attacking Moscow. I guess you got that right.

No problem, I understand it's not exactly a short campaign to play through, so it takes time to reach the very end.nikivdd wrote:Sorry Kerensky, today was impossible to continue, tomorrow should have time

perhaps some sunny days for Moscow
I only managed to get to within 3 hexes with 2 turns to spare due to mud and having to string out my entire army along "the Road" so not sure what would have happened if I had gotten closer. The advance defenders really slowed me down so guess they did their job well. I also lost 3 units in that one, including one SE PzIV

Demyansk Pocket
There is really no threat to the Ju52's at all. I flew them all in without any interference by the Soviet air. I flew close to a Russian AA unit but it did not even fire. I think the ground assaults were really good except for the AI deciding to move its Katyusha unit adjacent to my pak 50 and then fire on at the ATG, just so I could kill it next turn, and a similar move by an AA unit that for some reason decided to move next to my PzIV/F's so it too could be killed next turn. It had kept the Stuka's away for a turn or two but when the rest of those ground forces had been pretty much destroyed the AI decided to suicide those 2 units. although I had expected some kind of movement against my Western defences all the Russian units to the west did not activate and I was not inclined to kick a hornets nest by moving against them with either my core troops or the auxiliary forces. I had one eye opening "holy s**t" turn where the Russians suddenly appeared both to the North East and the South with massive tank and infantry forces, the counter said 6 turns to go but I had unknowingly just ended the game by landing the 4th JU that turn so after hitting end turn it went right to Decisive Victory. I was relieved to put it mildly, that was one real nasty looking huge horde of Red pain that was gathering against my army. I did not lose any troops but walked out with about 366 prestige due to the need to keep reinforcing the front line after all those waves of Red tanks and infantry.
