- Each Longbow BG gets Stakes up to half their Bases
- Stakes once planted, count as FF v Mounted (Except Elefante)
So do Stakes affect Mounted to cause Disruption?
No
Or do they just give Longbows a + when taking Impact?
They function exactly like FF vs mounted in close combat. Therefore they give the longbow + and cancel enemy lance POA.
Cosmic - deffo worth the investment then!
And why are Elefante discounted from being affected by PD's? It seems unlikely that their size 20 Feet could deftly step over or between the Stakes & charge the Longbomen behind
Because we think the elephants would uproot the stakes fairly easily.
Fair enough - either that or their hide would absorb the Stakes & just trample on regardless.
Stakes do not have a Rear like normal FF's
I am not sure what you mean by this, nor what significance you think it has. They do, of course, have a rear. If they didn't, the longbows would not count as defending them.
I mean that there is only a frontal Stakes & not a secondary set of Stakes behind, which I misread as the meaning of Front & Rear.
But if I've grasped it correctly, it means the front of the Stakes is counted for Shooting & CC, the rear of the Stakes must be in contact by the Longbowmen to count?
Cheers,
