The Panzer IIIE

Why is this unit tagged as "nopurchase"?

*edit typo*

Good question. We should be able to buy it, except it belongs to a different country.

Actually there are TWO Pz IIIE in the equipment file !

ID 18 is no purchase
ID 1370 isn't flagged !

So ID 18 is maybe for the 6 training missions or
meant to be "leased" for axis allies :?:

Heh, I never saw the second one. Seems strange that this unit is unavailable to buy. Was the Aufs E a rare variant?

I just checked the equipment file for PzCorps version 1.04 and the Pz IIIE is available for purchase. It should be as Germany produced well over 500 in 1939-1940, armed with either the 3.7 cm KwK 36 L/46.5 or the 5 cm KwK 38 L/42 guns. The total for the previous Pz III models A, B, C D were less than 100.

Say what? In my files (1.04 with both DLC's installed) the Panzer IIIE is clearly marked as "rott nopurchase". It was also like that in 1.02. I never checked vanilla 1.04 though.

I thought it was a typo or a balance issue; the stats are fairly similar to the Panzer 38(t)A so I'm assuming the balance issue would be with the upgrade cost...

AFAIR, we did this, because E and F modifications were very similar (this is reflected in their stats), and it was F which was produced in greater numbers, while E was relatively rare. So, E modification makes its appearence as a single aux unit (as early as in Poland), while F is available for purchase, but only in later scens.
