Short animations

Post by Micha63 »

Hi , for my taste the battleanimations in panzercorps are a little long. Is there a way to make it short. If not , can this be included in the next patch ?

That is the effect when you disable the file.
As stated, it is the best short term solution we have currently. Perhaps in the future, there may be more options and settings, but there is quite a bit to do, and something like this would be purely optional.

Maybe for the future it is possible to to make the animations faster or more short, no animation is not a good option i think.

Why not just make it a toggle?

No animation, short animation, long animation.

If you make the animation shorter some sounds will sound strange.
And if we're also talking about the attack animations than they would to create new animations.
This is not so easy to implement as it seems.
I think there are other priorities, IMO.

Verry sad to hear this, maybe you underestimate this problem. I checked out the annimations in people general, pazific admiral and
more of the pg familie and i can say a animation in the old games is mostly 4 or 5 seconds. In Panzerkorps its 10 seconds, now i know why the game feels so slow for me and keeps me from playing this game more. Belive me; more players feel the same even though they dont post it here. You said the SOUND will be strange when annimations runs faster, this must"nt be. I am musican and i know there are tools to make a a song faster without making the melody higher or deeper. Please think about this, a trigger ;fast and normal annimations
and the booring waiting for the end of the annimation is over.

If slitherine cant do it is there a programmer who can write a ptch ?

10 seconds, are you sure? Only if you add together the movement phase, attack phase and the damage phase.
In a normal attack and damage phase they usually don't take more than 5 seconds, I think.
But what's indisputable is your feeling of the game being slow for you. I understand your point.
Only the devs can tell you if it's easy or not. But this kind of things are hardcoded, so no one else besides the devs, can patch it.
Maybe in the future they can tweak it.

It is not 10 seconds.

It is 2 for attack and 4 for movement. Sometimes it is less.

Go to escape menu. That is the gear in the panel on the right.

Click and change the movement to fast.
