Problems loading .34 PBEM

I cannot load PBEM file from .34 version even if I have this installed

What I did:
1. fresh install - Loaded from CD CEAW 1.04

Then as per installation email:

2. Run "Run_CEaW_GS.bat"
3. Copied over (overwritten old files) to installation folder all the files from "GSver2.01.31.zip" (description says it can be installed even on plain vanilla game)
4. Copied over to installation folder all the files fromn "GSver2.01.34.zip"

After trying to run PBEM I get notification that the file is written in older version of the game. I checked with PionUrpo (he is the one I'm playing with) twice that he has 34 installed...

I can play/setup new games, etc.

Is there anything I'm missing?

Is it that Polish version of the game may be screwing things up?

PS.
How do I get initial languages option screen again. Even if I do uninstall id does not appear again (neither does the panel to choose computer speed).

Ok, I sorted this out. Apparently .31 cannot be installed on vanilla version of the game. You need to go through all the path: 1.12, GS2.0 and then .31 and .34.
