Decent review, even if he does use the word "granularity" three times per paragraph ;)

However, I did note that he says "in Commander, leg infantry is available the same turn (week) as produced". Well, only garrison infantry is available immediately, Infantry Corps take 1 turn to produce. And a turn is not one week, it's more like two weeks.

As an old SPI grognard, I have vast respect for Greg Costikyan. He was there at the center of things in the golden age of pre-computer wargaming. His bio says he started working for SPI at the age of 14. Oddly enough, I was 13 when I saw my first copy of S&T. Ah well, that was many moons ago :)

I do not know how new the version he got was, because we changed for instance the building times the last few days. Corps was 0 turns to build before in most betas, but is 1 turn in the release version.

Another thing worth mentioning is that the slow war effort % increase for example for Russia easily gets exaggerated, when not considering convoys.
