Not sure if intentional ie historical but...

Berber Spears: graphics for the men portray them as black
Black Slave Spearmen/ Javelinmen: are "arabic" looking

Maybe the graphics should be reversed or should we even be talking about this :)

I think the images are correct and the right way around.

Ok, I wasnt sure what these guys were supposed to represent although Berber language and ethnicity was/is more mediteranian/asian than african in origin.

Can anyone fill me in on the background of the slave troops? Are they kinda like the horse nomad "slaves" used by the Turks , the caliphates and later "egyptions" (ie Mamelukes), but of differnt origin and type , infantry vs HA's?

Dont know if this is much use but it seems a fairly comprehensive article on Muslim Military slavery

The Berber spearmen (heavy foot) look alittle underdressed to me. I think the 'unit-bib10-arab-spearman-png' figure would make a good berber spearman.

The Berber Javelinmen could be kept as they are. After all they run around alot. :)

Unlikely to change as the the images are based on the Berber models from the Essex range.
