LF charging LF in mixed BG.

Hi everyone

I had a game today where my opponent charged my mixed BG in the rear with LF. The contacted bases where LF in the rear but my BG was a mix of HF & LF.

I don't think this is allowed but does anyone know exactly where it says it?

It is not legal. p18 defines skirmishers as only units of LH or completely LF... and p 60 - LF cannot ever charge unbroken non-skirmishers in the open.

Somewhere else it defines how mixed BGs work... but I didn't find it at first glance.

I expect the definition of skirmishers in the glossary on P136 backs this up.

Regardless of bases contacted the mixed BG presumably for charge purposes counts as HF so cannot be charged by LF.

Unless the Bases charged were in terrain. There LF can charge anything.

A further point is that as the LF in mixed BGs are not skirmishers even if the LF could charge them (i.e. they were in terrain) they wouldn't drop a cohesion level for it.
