Issues with Fallschirmjaegers
First things first: Thx for this great game !
2) I'm just invading the US east coast with my core troops including 2 fallschrmjaeger 43.
a) when placing them i couldn't put them into a plane.
Had to use a landing boat instead.
b) After entering a conquered airstrip i could not let them embark a plane.
i'm only allowed to march them across the map.
How so ?
I guess that's not intended by you ?
TIA

This actually is intended. You get per scenario a fixed amount of air, rail and naval transports. In case of the Eastern USA scenario there are simply no air transports available. You can see the amount of available transports when you mouse over the embark on transports button and wait for the tooltip to pop up.

I assume this is because the Ju52 wouldn't be able to make a direct transatlantic trip.
But same can be said for most of the planes in the German arsenal.
So one must assume they were unarmed for most of the crossing, refueled and later armed on-board the Graf Zeppelin.
Thus, it makes no sense as to why you can't have Paratroopers deployed in the US East Coast invasion.
Except, perhaps, scenario balance reasons?

Not really useless, as you could upgrade them into other infantry. Or simply not use them in this scenario.huertgenwald wrote:Thanks for the hint Tarrak !
Hey that's great, 2 nearly useless units![]()

That doesn't sound right. USA Mid West is configured to allow 3 Ju-52 air transports and USA West Coast is configured to allow 4 Ju-52 air transports.huertgenwald wrote:Yep, i could but don't want to.![]()
In the last campaign card (US Westcoast) i could only place 1 FJ 43
Only USA East Coast is strangely deficient in air transport (It has been rationalized elsewhere this is because JU-52s can't make a trans-Atlantic flight).
Kerensky, I believe it is because he ran out of deployment spots for his fallschirmjagers since they all got used up by his air force: he had 11 planes and the US West Coast map has only 12 air deployment spots. So, he was only able to get one of them airborne on the first turn. He could always put his other one on an airfield (after buying a truck), though, and then embark it on turn 1 (lose 50p on the truck; no big deal). That way, he'd still be able to get two airborne on the first turn. Actually, there are two German airfields at the start, so, he could have put both fallschirmjagers on the airfields and used all air deployment spots for planes.Kerensky wrote:That doesn't sound right. Panzer Corps Beta Tester
Alternatively you just deploy the rest of your paratroopers in turn one after you moved some of you air units away. If you really want to move your paratroopers asap well .. delay the deployment of some other planes and deploy the paratroopers instead. Whatever you do its cheaper then buying them a truck and deploying them on the ground and then loading them up abandoning the truck and they become airborne and available at exact same turn.
