Dunkirk (beta2 - scenario 19)

Post by nikivdd »

Dunkirk was as smooth as the first beta.
I was too quick in meeting the scenario objectives because i never had the chance to capture the CharB tank :(
The addition of VH in the scenario objectives would be much appreciated.
There is no lack of time since i finished in 9 turns and 480PP left.

Dunkirk - Field Marshal - previous DV

Starting with 4480 prestige, down to 3230 after reinforcements and 2860 after buying a 3rd Ju88A.

And during setup I saw that one of my Stukas has a 2nd hero already.

Lost a SE PzIIIF to the counter-attack from Veurne.

I tried not to destroy too many objectives since I wanted this battle to take as long as possible, too while slowly working my way through the western units and fortifications. A counter for the already destroyed number of objectives would be very helpful here.

By turn 10 I had destroyed too many objectives, but I reloaded and kept playing (6 transports/trains were left at this point) as I was just approaching Nieuport and Dunkirk at this point.

Got a Matilda II from Da Panne.

At the end of turn 14 all land units (were destroyed) and at the end of turn 15 all enemy units were destroyed. DV at turn 15/16 with 3490 prestige.

Overall fairly easy again and as mentioned not having a counter is not helpful at all. I am not sure if I like the "trapped" units being as passive as they are. On the other hand this reflects their full retreat mode nicely and I doubt that they can be set to active, but still retain their low strength.
