Battle Academy game development question!

I was curious who does the comic book style storyboard illustrations that appear when you first click on a mission in a single player campaign. I love the style! It reminds me of these old World War II magazines I got from my father that were all the rage with young boys in the 50s-60s called "Sgt. Rock's...Our Army at War" there were a ton of spin offs, but you get the idea. I think it is part of what makes Battle Academy so original and refreshing among other things.

I'm not sure entirely if they are all unique, or some are derived from photos, but they are all created and put together by our Uberartist Richard. Perhaps he can comment on his inspiration
