When is a flank, not a flank?
Does the prohibition on wheeling within 1mu to create a flank charge also apply to a rear charge.
I have always thought rear and flank (side) were treated the same but the RAW do say "Flank" not "Flank or Rear" when sicussing the disqualification of a charge with a wheel within 1 MU?
Is this the intent of the rule?
Charge into flank requiring a wheel within 1 mu = Not a flank charge
Charge into the rear requiring a wheel within 1 mu NOT = to a flank charge
Thank You

I guess I took it as implied that a rear charge is one where your initial contact is with the rear of the unit as opposed to the side edge of the unit.
OTOH, looking at the pictures.... (which I never do when the rule seems clear) the diagram on page 57 makes it sound like you cannot wheel as part of a rear charge either if you are within 1 MU.

You will no doubt complete this exercise about four days before v2.0 hits the shops...bbotus wrote:I know. I went through the rulebook and posted all the errata and FAQs in the appropriate places. I'm also cross-referencing pages in the rulebook because things like "shifts" show up in 6 or 7 places.
