Up till now this is my least favorite scenario. Like an austrian wals i moved from west to east and took all objectives in 10 turns.
The russian units i encountered seemed all to suffer from the officer purges.
Most of the units behind Brest were decoration ( a hint for operation Barbarossa?). Only a few woke up after i attacked one of their tanks with a Pzjäger. At least all my units have 2 stars after this mission. Personally i would remove this scenario and i suggest to replace it by the German attack on Brzesc (Brest).

Got another elite Infantry and I am starting to ask myself if it is even possible to get any armor?
With 3k prestige left after elite reinforcements and all but the newly bought Pionier at cap XP I am buying some new units now, firstmost 2 stratigic bombers (He111H2) for additonal suppression and having some tools against naval forces. In addition 1 SdKfz222, 2 Infantrie, 1 Pz38, 1Bf109E and another 10,5cm are bought, leaving me with 1050 prestige.
Made the race to the center airfield with my recon unit and parked my airforce there, already seeing the first Soviet units. Since I see this as a kind of bonus scenario to provide my fresh troops with XP and the scenario itself lasting for 21 turns I will play that one cautiously.
Well, I underestimated the movement range of the Soviet mobile forces and lost a nice Pz38 for it, time to get a new one...
The battle for Brest was quite interesting, I was able to essentially secure the town with the help of my airforce and artillery and then I attacked the KV with my armor, in the end getting him down to no ammunition before he was able to destroy one of my units. In the end the KV surrendered with still 8 HP left.
DV at turn 16, 1660 prestige, but some serious repairs to do.
Exept for the battle for Brest this was too easy again IMO, despite not really rushing and taking my time in trying to deal with the KV I finished 5 turns early - again a tad lower number of turns might be good here to keep you focused.

I had some serious problems with this scenario, and I may have over-nerfed the Russians as a result of that.
This scenario is also the 'bonus' scenario of the 1939 DLC campaign. Meaning it is the only fictional scenario. Future DLC campaigns will follow this logic. Historical paths and missions, but optional and bonus fictional scenarios can be found too.

I beat this one as a decisive victory fairly easily, as far as the timer goes, but it was a fairly bloody battle. I should have kept closer track of the time that I beat it, but there were at least five or six turns left. The amount of Soviet armor is no joke, especially that KV-2 around Brest. Luckily, it wasn't so tough once my strategic bomber helped drain it's ammo. There is really a lot of Soviet armor around there and over the course of the battle I lost three core units, two around Brest.
One thing that I liked is that we finally get to fight the Soviet light tanks on fairly equal terms. By the time Barbarossa rolls around, those light tanks are no match for Panzer IIIs/IVs. It was fun to use the Panzerjager units too, another unit that seems to suffer a fate similar to the Soviet light tanks in the campaign.
I liked this scenario a lot. I really enjoyed having an ahistorical bonus scenario like this, and it serves as a fun prelude to Barbarossa. I got a major kick out of getting briefed by the Russian general, that was a really nice touch. If I had to pick a favorite scenario out of the Poland campaign, it would either have been this one or the Bzura one.
