OT: Finally arrived today...

Post by VPaulus »

My baptism on WW2 was made with the documentary series "The World at War", with the comics "Battler Britton" and with BBC tv series "Colditz" when I was a kid.
Probably, my British mates here with my age, will remember it.

Today, after waiting for a couple of months of being in backorder, arrived in the post my copy of Colditz:

I know I'll be at bread and water for a week. I don't care. This is the best news I've got in the last weeks.
I couldn't resisted in sharing it with the folks here.

Awesome!

I'll bring some popcorn, cheese and cracker and we’ll make a marathon out of it.

And indeed it would be a marathon.
28 episodes x 50 minutes.

Ok, we can stop once in awhile to get more ice for our drinks.
:lol:

One I used to watch (many many years ago) was Rat Patrol
I got it on NetFlix about a year ago and went through the series again.
Good stuff.

I've heard about Rat Patrol, but never watched it.
I'll try to find a copy.

I have the Escape from Colditz boardgame around here...

I think it's somewhere, maybe I sold it off already.

Hang on, one of the "prisoners of war" there, don't I recognize him?

And indeed I do. (David McCallum; currently "Ducky" on NICS)

@Kerensky
I didn't know there was a board game. I bet that you regret now in case of having sold it.

@Molve
Yes, it's David McCallum, when he was young and I was a kid.

I love watching them fly over the sand dunes firing at the enemy.
