Market Garden Mission 8 issue

My step-son asked me to report the following bug: in Mission 8 of Market Garden, it's possible as the Allied player to move German units around at the outset of the battle. Also, if you grasp an Allied unit with the mouse and move it into the gray areas of the map, the map "lightens up" and the German units hidden there are revealed.

I can't fully verify these points at present, unfortunately, but he's very insistent there's a problem and I thought I'd pass it on.
