GS 2.10 ETA?

I have read with interest the change logs and am excited to get the new update. What time frame is anticipated for release? A week, a month, 3 months, more? Inquiring minds want to know!

This is hard to tell. There aren't any bugs we know of at the moment and the ongoing beta games seem pretty stabile. If I have to guess I would say some time this fall. Even when we have the GS v2.1 files we need Slitherine to make the installer and they might be busy with preparing for a release of another game so the time is not just up to us.

The reason I ask hard to tell is that we still want to get more game reports about the balance after we made the latest changes. It seems from many games that the balance seems to be pretty good, but we want to see these games to the end and not just to 1943.

We just want to ensure that the upgrade to GS v2.1 will not immediately require further updates because of game balance issues. On the other hand, we know it's not possible to get a game completely balanced. We just want it balanced enough for most players to feel they have a real chance winning the game, regardless of side. Difference in playing skills will still be more important than the game balance tweaks we made.

Thanks for the information. Simply having an idea of the time frame helps with future game planning. Keep up the good work, enjoying 2.0 tremendously.
