Upload File failure: Error [1]- retry save?

Post by Toidi »

Hi,

I just experienced the error as given in the subject. It seems that there is some issue with the Slitherine servers, am I correct?

I pressed yes several times and it does not seem to help...

Thanks!

Hi Toidi

sorry you are having problems. They seem to be running fine and nobody else has reported an issue. It could be a temporary glitch between you and the server. Can you try again?

Hi Iainmcneil !

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately, the wait and try again approach did not work. I tried maybe 10 times yesterday evening and again this morning (after leaving my computer on all night) and I was still getting the same error (and I also disconnected and connected my internet if that were the case, but not). I will redo the turn; not very fair for my opponent, I'm afraid. I checked immediately, and I can save, so, I am hope that I will be able to send it once the turn is done.

I take it as unlucky; don't know what caused it...

Once again, thanks for your quick reply!

Sorry for the inconvenneince. It could be an issue with your connection or a bug on the server. We're continually working to improve the server so hopefully issues like this will become rarer and rarer as time goes by.

Thanks!

It was relatively unusual - it was sending either the whole file or almost whole (the transfer was about 3Mb), and at the moment you would expect the program to exit, the message was popping out.

I'm sure your internal monitoring on the server caught that, so if it was anyhow related to your servers, you will correct the issue...

Thanks again for your kind replies and keep on with good work!

[small suggestion: some ELO/score rating of the opponents would help greatly, or even something as simple as win/loss ratio of the opponent]
