Currently enthralled by the Multiplayer. I think if you guys could get the average gamer to somehow try out the multiplayer, you'd have a Starcraft-scale market (ok Im being dramatic, but still the MP is great). Great job to whoever designed the server setup to get it going.
A couple questions.
(1) What does the "Claim" button do? I'm guessing I can claim a win if the person I am playing is idle for a certain amount of time. How long does it wait if my hunch is correct?
(2) Is there a method to automatically keep stats? The user has already logged in after all. Ie. wins and losses, which maps, etc? That doesn't seem like it would be hard and would inject an incredibly powerful mechanic of tracking progress / competition.
Thanks!

The claim button allows a player to claim victory in a match that has been left idle by their opponent for an extended period of time (30 days).
There are plans for stat tracking, (wins, losses, games played, and maybe even ranks) but these have not yet been implemented. In point of fact actually, Slitherine recently had to disable stat tracking on their other games (freeing up server traffic I think) so hopefully in the future we will have this and all the infrastructure to support it as well.

Couple other questions -
Is there a surrender option in multiplayer? If not, are there plans to have that option?
Will the results be saved (I see that my first MP is saved in "Results" though I can't seem to do anything with that file) until stat tracking is implemented? What is the purpose of the 'results' section?

Just for the record in FOG PC forum someone posted that they were quite upset that their ID was being tracked and displayed for game stats against their wishes, might have been why Slitherine cancelled it, privacy issues and all.
Just thought I would let you know in case you were not aware of it.
PS: it wasnt me who complained, I just recall reading the posts...

Go to Login, use mouse pointer, hover over /drop down to MY PAGE, all your personal info will be there and if you scroll all the way to the bottom there is a box to check if you want your game stats to be public. ( at least if the game you own has that functionality anyways)ruskicanuk wrote:My page on the Slitherine Website? I don't see the place to allow stats to be shown. Can you direct?

I own FOG which is listed there , but there was nothing for PzrCorp so i assume it hasnt been activated yet for stat tracking .

I hope they do this soon. WoW has entire business model getting people to repeadily, mindlessly click the mouse over and over again because they captured the attractiveness of "levelling up". Starcraft has done the same with Battlenet.
This game is simple enough to appeal to a large base and, with a few minor tweaks, and with a sophisticated stat tracking system, the game will explode in like fashion.
Just saying...
