15mm Generic TYW German Army on ebay

Post by nickdives »

Gents,

just put this on:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130569056792? ... 1586.l2649

Should allow you to field most German Armies of the period or anyone else if you ignore the flags! I painted these Essex chaps for me but am replacing them with Khurasan and Testudo. That is why all infantry are based 4 to a base, it looks good!

I am now close enough, one month, to retirement to start accepting painting commissions,

I got these, and jolly fine they look too! They should be more than a match for the assorted strip Minifigs and Mike's Models figures, mostly painted thirty years ago, which I'm pressing into a Protestant army.

And they won their first game, against another novice with New Model Army. Very close, 16-9 in competiton terms. This was my first encounter with Determined Horse and I'm impressed - one Ironsides unit survived being charged in the flank by cuirassiers and then hit frontally by reiters, and beat both units!

Thanks John,

I am glad they did well, I would like to say it must have been the paint job but I am sure the Gods of Wargames would dispute that!!!
