Question adding French units to new maps scenario

Hi... love this game... i love using the editor - it really allows me to experiment a lot

i see how i can add british, american, german, and italian units, but even after adding the blitkreig france map, i don't see the french forces as being able to add to the maps....

Am I missing something here? I would love to experiment with french on german tanks artillery and so on to see how they work best...

Also, is there a way for me to make my own eastern front units???? mod wise, I'd love to make scenarios that are sort of like those in john tillers eastern front ...
