Turcopole or Turkopolen?

Post by stockwellpete »

I have just been reading Wikipedia about the 14th century Teutonic Knights army in Eternal Empire. One of the things that I was wondering about was the inclusion of turcopoles in the Teutonic DAG list. Wikipedia says this which is interesting . . .

"The turcopoles who survived the Fall of Acre followed the military orders out of the Holy Land and were established on Cyprus with the Knights Templar and Rhodes and Malta with the Knights Hospitaller. The Teutonic Order also called its own native light cavalry the "Turkopolen"."

So, if that is right, the Teutonic light cavalry came from Germany, Poland and other parts of the Baltic region rather than from Greece and Turkey where most of the turcopoles came from.

If you agree could that be changed on the Teutonic DAG list please? That is replace "turcopole" with "turcopolen".

Two consonants, TGM - a "k" instead of a "c" and an "n" on the end. You know how these small details are important to pedantic twits like me!

Ahh, then you should see that you do, indeed, only have to add one

You know its funny, the bug that occasionally changes all the names in game to a forign language would be kind of cool, i mean having units named in their own tongue So Ritterbruders , Schutzenbigxbowsmeisenritters etc.
