Secondary objectives. How are we suppose to tell secondary objectives?

I don't think you can unless the designer either writes out where they are in the pzloc victory conditions; in a separate document or, and the most obvious, sets primary objectives to have the gold border so that all other flags are secondary objectives. That doesn't cover all options, though.

I consider this a bug as you can not have secondary objectives as victory conditions.

Bug Feature.... either way it is needed in this patch.

For objectives classification I see it like this:

Mandatory objectives - the ones you specifically need to control in order to win.

Primary objectives - also needed for victory but with more flexibility in controlling them. Scenario has certain number of primary objectives and in order to win player needs to control not all but only a portion of them. It is on the player to decide on which ones to go. For example 2 out of 4.

Secondary objectives - the ones that make difference between various types of victories. Decisive or Marginal victory. Good for use on geographically farther areas, to set moves in certain directions away from main route, or to use for heavy strongpoints that could be bypassed. Controlling them adds additional challenge to the player.

Separate indicators are needed.

Mandatory indicated with golden border,
Primary indicated with silver border,
Secondary indicated with bronze border around the flag.

Strategic map could use stylized laurel wreath for visual indication.

I think Gold and Bronze are too close. We already had lots of problems with Silver and Gold borders.

How ever if the border is wide enough and also visable in the Strategic view...

I think we need some detail on the borders. Plain, ornate and really ornate.

It's too easy to miss the really ornate one, though.

You think it needs to be bigger?

I thought about it but then thought players might like to see some of the map as well as the objective marker :)
