Comment Defense of Harbin:
You changed the scenario a lot. Its now much harder and the endfight at the 3hex victory city takes some rounds.
Also I dont know if it was before, the Japanese Puppet Infantry is rather weak. Only 2/1 attack. So you must really take care when moving them forward.
I managed only marginal victory.
To be honest I liked the old version more. It was faster and no boring endfight. At least this is my memory.

Here's some answer for your question.
Battle of Rehe:
As Japan, you only need to capture all primary objectives, not all the cities. I wish I mentioned in the .pzloc file.
I checked the historical military map, only one airport in that area. However, I might add another airport to increase the interest of the map.
Movement, I can understand your feeling, it's mainly because of the hills all over the place. That's why I set 30 turns for this map. I'll add more horse transports or trucks to the japan side.
Great wall. Your point is quite right. The reason is that in the history, this battle doesn't happen in the great wall. The wall will be quite useful in the next map: Defense of great wall. Which happened right after the Battle of Rehe.
Lastly, my answer is "Infantry with 1 shooting range". Quite unique, it's it?
Defense of Harbin:
I think the major reason why you think it's much harder is that, I set the most of the Chinese troops as "hold the position", now they will not easily left their good positions.
However, I'll take your point, reduce the number of units a bit (more historical).
The puppet infantry is very weak, with a low price, the setting haven't been change.
Overall, My idea for setting the decisive victory is, either win decisive with big sacrifice, or win normal with small sacrifice. Hard to decide?
