Generals moving through gaps in enemy troops

Post by kal5056 »

How much space is required between 2 enemy BG's for a general on his own to move through to join a freindly?

I'd say 1 base width.

I have heard and seen this debated a lot of different ways. I don't think there is a hard world wide consensus.

I have seen it ruled:

1) any amount of space justified that it is just a few guys
2) A base width
3) a micron more than a base width.

The argument for 3 is the commander cannot contact enemy BGs. therefore exactly a base width means it could not slide past. I forget where in the rules that notion comes from.

2 seems the most common logic.
