Screen resolution

Will the GS version 2.1 take care of the resolution of the computer where it runs?.
I mean that now, I always see 17 x 8 hexes of map-board, even if less than a half of a 1920x1200 screen is used.
If used "fullscreen" you get bigger hexes but still 17x 8, no more map.

The game window has a dimension 1024 x 768.

It will not be changed for now.

That is one of the major weaknesses of this game engine and probably a reason they decided not to make more games with this engine. You have to hardcode in Java the width and height of every dialog box, window etc. So if you want other resolutions you need to remake them for each resolution. That's a really big job.

The map and all images are made for 1024x768 resolution as well so if you had changed it then the images would have to be resized with blurring as an effect or you would have to make new images for the other resolutions.
