Fragmented units pursuing

Post by mrbootsthecat »

This came up in a game last night. A unit of sword and bucklermen heavy foot are fighting an ECW regiment of foot (4 musket, 2 pike) with the assistance of a pike and sword unit. (Not historical, but the only two armies I have.) The sword and bucklers were fragmented, as were the ECW regiment. The ECW regiment lost the fight and broke. Do the sword and bucklers pursue? I couldn't find anything that said they shouldn't, but it seems counter intuitive as normally they have to CMT to go any closer to enemy. Any answers gratefully recieved.[/b]

Yes they "could"

If you look at the section where it describes who pursues It is in the combat mechanism section I believe. It says who must pursue, who may pursue. IIRC there is no specific prohibtion of Frag'd pursuing.
