AI aggresiveness on higher difficulty

Post by borsook79 »

I'm well into my first campaign on Field Marshal difficulty, and one of the biggest differences I see from General is aggressiveness. Very often even if AI has a single unit occupying a victory point location it still moves one hex to attack. This is not a good idea, AI should understand the concept of garrisoning the important hexes and do not move units stationed there.

I thought the AI was the same as on General. I read here that the only difference is in the rate at which the player gains prestige. Maybe I remember wrong?

Maybe you are right, my lone observations can be wrong. But even if it not connected to the difficulty level AI should not do that...

Attacking from a city happens on all difficulties.
