In the Stalingrad scenario in the 1939 campaign, there appears to be an issue with Sevastopol -- namely, when you attempt to use transport from the city, it only allows sea transport, and no rail transport. In fact, I was able to launch 5 units from the port as sea transports, which actually put me three above the sea trans limit for the scenario (it actually showed up as -3/2). No option comes up to allow rail transport. So it seems "stuck" on sea trans only, and at that in excess of the scenario limit.

deployment list
I think this is an old issue. During initial deployment, after I upgrade a unit, for instance changing a IIIJ to a Tiger II, the upgraded unit is moved to a lower position in the deployment list, which runs from weakest unit to strongest unit. That's fine. But I like to go through the entire deployment list, top to bottom, upgrading and bringing individual units up to full strength before I begin deploying them on the map. Then I start deploying with the top unit, usually infantry, and work my way down the list. Here's the issue: I expect the selection process to move down the deployment list, top to bottom, in orderly fashion, but when the selection comes to a unit that once was a lower grade, it jumps to that unit's present place in the list, so I accidentally end up deploying a Tiger II when I thought I was going to be deploying something less. A click of the mouse fixes it and moves the mistaken deployment off the map and back to the list, but it's illogical and annoying. When a unit gets upgraded in the deployment list, why can't it then be assigned its proper place in line, so the automatic top-to-bottom selection doesn't jump over other units?
flashing screen in beta
The beta revision to the release version displays with a border in my Win7 system and has a briefly flashing solid white screen every time I go to the upgrade screen. I get a bright white full-screen flash and then the upgrade screen comes up.

What is the state of "Window Mode" check box in the game menu? Is it checked or not?JRW wrote:The beta revision to the release version displays with a border in my Win7 system and has a briefly flashing solid white screen every time I go to the upgrade screen. What Windows version do you have?JRW wrote:It is NOT checked.
Medals are not awarded during interception combat.
"Noticed something interesting, one of my fighters went to over 50 kills when intercepting in the alllied turn and did not get a medal... "
"Confirmed bug.
At 100 kills, assuming you don't get your 100th kill on an interception, your unit is awarded the Knight's Cross 1st Class."

It's Win7-64bit. Since last post, I checked the windows box, unchecked it, then clicked OK and the game reverted to the non-Windows version. Looking back, I think something happened when I last played and couldn't wait for the AI to finish a long sequence, so I opened the game menu and clicked on a couple different things -- load, quit to desktop -- in an effort to get it to terminate so I could shut it down. It finished the AI sequence and I shut it down normally. The next time I started it I got the Windowed version, even though I had not checked that box and it remained unchecked when I went back and looked at it. Cycling the box through a check-uncheck-OK restored it to the non-window version.Rudankort wrote:What Windows version do you have?JRW wrote:It is NOT checked.
Bug in 1.01 Editor
I loaded up one of my saved maps and made a change and saved it.
Now I can not open it with the old version. It freezes. Also can not open it with the old editor.
Now I can not finish play testing my map.
I don't want to wait 4 weeks!

You'll have to revert to a back up version of that map to access it in the old editor.Razz1 wrote:I loaded up one of my saved maps and made a change and saved it.

Or you can continue to work on the map in the new editor and with the BETA .exe file, that should work just fine.
For future reference though, you really should create a separate installation directory for BETA content.
For example, I actually have three.
C:\Games\Panzer Corps
C:\Games\Panzer Corps Beta
and
C:\Games\Panzer Corps Design
Use your normal serial number for the full game.
This installs to a new folder. DO NOT install it on top of your existing game.
This allows you to run the beta plus keep your normal version live to continue existing games.
