Hanging problem

Hello,

Not sure if this is a function of having a saved gamed from the first build used as start or something else, but after decisive victory in Race for Moscow, the game hangs (screen black) when going moving to US East coast scenario. I had previously won Sea Lion 1940 in a decisive victory too. The level played is General.

You have this problem in the 1.01 version, right? Can you send me saved game from where I could repro this issue to rudankort@rsdn.ru? Thx!

Sent the saved file to the email you listed. The file was created in 1.0 and the problem comes when using the Beta Patch 1.01 as you said far more clearly than I did.

I'm also experiencing the game hanging. In my case, after the Stalingrad scenario. I too was continuing a game started in v1.0 using the new beta release. I've played several scenarios under 1.1 without any problems. The Stalingrad victory conditions are giving me troubles too. I've taken all victory hexes (though not in time for a decisive win) and yet the game continues (even if I've destroyed every enemy unit). When I reach the last turn it says Axis Surrendered! If I reload from a few turns prior and use the cheat codes to force the scenario to end, that is when I experience the hanging problem. It gives me the Kursk scenario details, but hangs before I get to the deployment screen. I'm playing this on the Guderian difficulty level (perhaps an issue with the shorter time to win?). One thing that is odd, if I re-size the window that is hanging, the main menu is underneath. Another odd thing I just noticed, I was in windowed mode without having the box checked. When I checked and then unchecked it, it switched out of windowed mode. Either way, it still hangs after the scenario.

I can provide a saved file if needed.

I don't understand Stalingrad either!!!!! Had every city captured except two down near water where 2 allied cruisers like to hide and game went full 28 turns and then said AXIS surrendered!!! Really, really a thousand reallys crazy. This takes the cake.

Can anyone explain the logic of this??? thanks.

I have also problems with version 1.01 Beta.

Standalone scenarios

Berlin East standalone scenario:

At turn 13 USSR has captured all German VHs and the game still refuses to be stopped by declaring a German loss, Berlin is taken like all other VHs.

I think victory conditions of all standalone scenarios should be reviewed, you have perhaps put most of your efforts in the campaigns OR the victory condition settings tool has an issue.

Stalingrad standalone scenario

You remember I told you Rudankort that Stalingrad -using version 1.0- had an issue, I had a Loss when I conquered all objectives except the Caucasus (readme text showed up a TV was granted if all VHs were captured but 3 VHs located in the Caucasus) --> wrong end of scenario result (loss instead of TV)
You changed the victory conditions settings.
Now we have -in version 1.01 beta- another issue.
At turn 11 I had a BV when I conquered most of VHs but I was not allowed to continue my attack and to conquer Caucaus VHs!!!
So the game stopped, impossible to get a BV by trying to get the Caucasus --> Game stops preventing the player to go further in the scenario.

1939 Campaign

Impossible to use German paratroopers in the 1st scenario taking place in USA.
I got 0 air points whereas I captured a lot of airfields and my paratroopers were only wanting to take off!
Usage o Fallschirmjägers is for me a key element in game, I could have won earlier if I had been allowed to use those units.

Other remarks

I preferred the Bridging icon we used in the very first version of the game for Bridge engineer units, but this is a matter of taste.
