Polish-Lithuanian list question....

Post by Piotrek10 »

Hello all, this is my first attempt at a list (500pts) I have a basic grasp of the rules but have yet to play a game. My question is about the optional troops selection for this list. I don't know how the MODs feel about posting points costs, so I wont. If you have any advice about the list in general I would appreciate that as well.

Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth Army List.

Field Commander

Troop Commander

Troop Commander

Core Troops

Hussars Determined Horse, armored, superior, Impact Mounted, Swordsmen 4 bases

Lithuanian petyhortsy, unarmored average, bow, light lancers, swordsmen 4 bases

Registered Cossacks, unarmored average, medium foot, arquebus, swordsmen 8 bases

Medium Artillery, average, 2 bases

Now here is my question. Would it be better to have two Later tericos (6 shot, 3 pike each) or three BGs of four shot and 2 pike each. These are the german merc. troops, just to clarify. I am greatful for any advice you veterans may have to offer.

EDIT* I suppose I should have mentioned that this list is from Clash of Empires. My real dilema is are the two Tericos durable enough to make up for the extra break point that having the extra BG would provide?

I always choose the 4+2 rather than the 6 + 3 LT, as 3 BG are worthwhile to bulk up the army. However at low points I might take the LT as they self support and can't be charged as a flank attack which helps for a narrow army. My Nordlingen (1634) Spanish use them at 600 points.
