Hi Nick
Very good work !

The helmets are grey or green please and to brightly in relation to the vehicles ! Do you use my textures for this obj's ? Can you show a big info card with some NVA units - possible the Motschützen or an tank in 45% view ?
I thinks in this wise we can produce all modern war units - I can send you the obj's for all possible modern units - and BTW also for all WW2 units , alltogether one hundert different. Let us say - every day - a new infantry unit !

@Hblack :

Ha, ok, I guess you're certain for the helmets? .. I make it... based on this document:
Image

Can you produce other models with different poses? I want a soldier kneeling, firing his AK-47, and some heavy weapons AT-4, Sagger, RPD ....
As for textures, no, I could not use yours, I need a UV mapping in dds format, and I have not found a way to do it with Poser.... I do not know enough about this software should I really study it ... but I have not much time for now ...

@Massi :

For shadows, I actually load my 3D models directly within Photoshop Extended 3D,
and I set the shadows, the light .... ect ....
but ... it is possible to do this manually in Photoshop,
on a separate layer , and play with the opacity ...

I solved it.
thanks Mike
I make the shadow like this:

mini turorial

I magic select the shape (sodier-tank etc. ..) -> open a new layer -> fill black in selection -> stretch the shape (thin shadows) -> I reduce the opacity to 75% -> Merge layers in PNG .

Et voilà, le jeux son fait ! drop shadow served hot hot :D

I'm using the same way to make the shadow~~and I guess the original opacity is 50%~~ :D :D

Hi, I think they are using Poser for 3D or Maya, and then Photoshop.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Yes, no problem, at first, if you can make the infantry unit, it is better ...
but if you agree, send me the 3D models in poser format ... I want to learn how to use this software ...

For now : Here are a few units, completed ....
