What is wrong with server this week on BA ,every turn ive uploaded i have had to do the abandon way, are we overloaded? ,every day i have played and same every one,

I don't think we have had any problems of the type you seem to be encountering. There are enough games going that if the server was down all week then we would certainly have heard. Have you updated and AV or Firewall software? What is your ISP, could there be a problem there, although it seems that you can access the server OK to download the turns.

Pip no it wasnt down all week, it was , every time i finished my turn and pressed end, it waited the minute to try, then i retried, cple secs it says retry again, then fails and says do you wish to abandon this turn it will be recorded, i do that and it goes to multi screen and my opponat gets turn, thats what happened all week, no trouble with firewall etc, wouldnt it be a good idea to have a patch so like WITE we can play normal PBEM as an alternative to the server?

Unfortunately we are not planning any work around to the PBEM server as it encourages cheating and creates a lot of extra work which we don't have the resources for. WitE only has it because it was added before the PBEM system was added and taking it out would have been more work.

We are upgrading the server soon so this issue should all go away assuming it is a server issue. We have had a doubling of traffic since the release of Panzer Corps which could be related to the issue.

Ok Ian thanks for answer,work on server may cure it, my opponant across water experienced same faults, i only normal PBEM play with WITE so cant say if server works better with that, i do prefer E/Mail for play, if people need to cheat at a comp game its a bit bleak, sometimes not often BBCBA does not verify p/word etc, but i just reboot game and its ok second time
