To get version 1.5.9 of the Eternal Empires beta, please press "`" or "#", then type "update-source empire".
Then press enter, and click "Check for Updates".
Changes:
Patch 1.5.9
1)Fix: All reported DAG list errors in the forum.
2) Add: 20 new battles unique to EE. See Help and then Battle List for details.
3) Update: Game help for rear rank shooters, immobile baggage in scenarios, all battle list.
4) Add: Immobile baggage. See help for details. Basically baggage in all existing scenarios acts like immobile mobs (help documentation pending).
5) Add: Variable army sizes (help documentation pending). A game of less than 400 gets 2/3 rounded up of the standard DAG list max BG’s allowance. If >600 then 1 1/3 rounded down and if >800 1.5 rounded down. The minimum BG requirements are not affected.
Thanks for testing

It didnt work for me either, what did work is hitting the Getupdates buttonOld_Warrior wrote:Did not work for me. Tried it twice. Worked for 1.5.8 fine.
And by the way you need to explain this procedure better. It is:
1. Start up your FoG beta.
Then do your instructions.
Playing around in 1.59 now.
I love the new unit attribute "immobile" I'm sure scenario designers can do some clever stuff with this.

Re: Eternal Empires Beta: version 1.5.9 available
4) Any way to have this work so that baggage doesnt add to your BP's but will take away from same when they are routed (and thus act more like camps?) The reason is the more baggage you add to a scenario, the more powerful that army actually gets ( at least until the bagge is destroyed) Plus, I have sean mobs actually frag full strength regular troops so they are not necasarily a walkoverEricS wrote: 4) Add: Immobile baggage. 5) If i misunderstand how map sizes works, then disreagrd. Howver I thought that the DAg maps were dependant on Ap size and that only 650 ap and up battles would generate the largest size maps.
Howver, the new tweak on the caps kicks in @ > 600 ap/s
Many players specifally play 650 as the # of BG's is manageable, most armies can get there, AND you get the larger maps for maneuver.
Now with this tweak the armies COULD be larger if the higher caps on low cost units are used by players which then defeats the purpose of larger maps .
I guess there is no easy solution for this, unless map size becomes an option when issuing a challenge...
