Editor Lock Up In Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit

Post by NicholasBell »

No problems running the game. But the editor simply locks up after attempting to do anything and requires using the task manager to shut it down. I have attempted to use the compatibility mode function with various settings without success. Hope you have some suggestions.

Thanks!

Hmm - never tried that specific combo. Do you have .NET installed, as the editor uses it.

Cheers

Yes, win 7 64 installs .net as part of the OS. I found a verification program just to make sure and it confirms that NET 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 and 4 Client are all installed properly.

Does the editor start correctly? But then crashes when you attempt to click on any lists or buttons?

I'll confess I haven't had a chance to check into this yet, but I will add it to my todo list and see if we can get a solution found shortly.

Cheers

Hi Pip,

The editor starts fine but as soon as I try to open a file it just freezes up when I click on the editor screen.

Then there is a message in the top of the editor that says it is not responding. When I click the X in the top right corner it says wait for program to respond or close it.

I have tried this a couple of dozen times.

Regards,

Grell
