Suicide Trucks

Post by TheGrayMouser »

At the risk of annoying players that think Bagration is tough enough as it is, the AI in that scenario displays a very bad habit with his mounted infantry. basically it just charges forward with them in mounted mode and purposefully gets them adjacent to any and all of a players units it can. This of course gives you on your turn the oppurtunity to annhilite infantry , helpless in their lorries. Any way that this can be looked at and tweaked to prevent the AI from doing this? A routine that tells the Ai "though shalt not move in mounted mode adjacent to enemy tanks"? :D

In a scenario I am doing the AI sends trucked artillery onto bridges adjacent to strong units without any support. Obviously lead by Corporal Punishment.

This and the AI moving it's artillery last and then firing, and the AI surrounding cities have been noted and will be reviewed on the next pass of AI improvement.

Yes, this bug helped me to execute Russians in this mission.
Anyway, during correcting this bug, please, don't forget to decrease the number of IS2's at the expense to increase the number of T34's. Then the scenario will be perfect from gameplay and historical accuracy points of view  (Ooops, I'm digging my own grave in the next improved Bagration scenario  )
