Crap Server

This is the best game I have going.

This is the second time the server has made me do my turn over. The first game is sitting on the server and I mentioned in another thread that I am not going to play it until I get an answer on what is wrong. That game is Bastogne against dereka

I typed in message. Moved my turn. Typed in another message. Clicked on done and it says Wrong request. Try'd 3 times.

Then it gives me another message after I get to the main menu. Failed to connect to server.

At the menu I try to load the game and can not. Failed to connect to server. So I play another MP game and the connection works.

Then I go back and it is my turn all over again.

I have been getting the same problem I wrote about here:
viewtopic.php?t=25788
The turn always goes through if I follow this procedure but it shouldn't happen.
This is my most recent log file.
NOTE: As I mentioned in the other post, the log file is recording passwords. Anyone who posts a log file needs to be aware of that. I have xxx-ed out the passwords in mine.

I have exactly 20 games. This has happened twice. That is 10%.

Once no warning and played 4 other MP games and then it showed up on server as my turn.

If the server is being backed up or maintained, please let the members know.

I would be glad not to play during that time frame.

Sorry, I got upset but Operation Zitadell is a strategic map and most of the turns are pivotal.

Maybe I caused the crash by clicking on end turn and type message and then hit Done in place of send message ??????

I got an error yesterday on Operation Zitzdell with El_Conodoro . Re-tryed twice. Lets see if it works.

Just now I got an error on a different game, Zitimor MP with soldier.

The game with El Condoro worked. At least he never told me he had to re-do his turn.

There was only one time I had to do this and it was against Kerensky. My work network allowed me to download the turn (and I played it) but not upload it. I let Kerensky know.

I am still having the intermittent problem of a turn not going through first time, but it always gets through.

I had a game in which I had to control alt delete today.

Now I have another game with El condoro where I click play, watch his turn and the when the message pops up, I type in a reply and the game freezes.

Actually the message screen came up first in place of me see El Condoro's turn.

I think I have seen this before.

So in MP the message screen can pop up before a player see's an opponents move.

Okay... happened again today. Same game with El condoro.

Map shows victory conditions, then goes to message screen. I read his message type in a reply and game is frozen

Sequence is off in MP games.

Should be, replay, message, victory conditions, my turn.

Edit: I did jump from one MP game to the other, but that should make a difference.

I'm not getting any problems with download and playing turns but every turn is going through the process I described above before it uploads properly.

Third turn in a row. It seems every turn with El condoro this is happening.

He hosted the map as I dent him the files.

That's 3 turns I have to do control alt delete due to freeze plus one in another game.

Somehow our game got out of sync.

Anyhow, please don't count these re-boots against me in MP.

I read that we have repaired some bugs.

Is this out of sync bug fixed?

Should we just restart? I'd rather find out what caused/is causing the problem, though. As I say, the turns I download from you and others are playing as they should but don't upload on the first try.

We are almost finished.

I have to re-boot every turn to play your game.

I noticed that if I re-boot and play a different game, then go to your game it freezes again.

So in order for me to play I have to reboot Panzer Corps and then play your game first before any others.

EDIT: I see you were complaining before. No prestige and were loosing. Now what do you think?

Told you Germany is constrained and just make it to victory. That's why there can not be a decrease in German tanks etc...

Russia has been beefed up on next version. More prestige late game, AT w truck, T-70 and another I-16, increased experienced on some units.

LOL. I worked out where my problem stems from when you mentioned Kharkov was being fought overin our game. The name of the scenario is Operation Zitadell and so I assumed it was partly historical. I expected lines and fronts and normal stuff, especially epic tank battles. This scenario is not that at all - the map, units and strategy are very different to reality. Because of the focus on many flags, it's a very difficult scenario to get the hang of, which should see it being played for a long time to come.

Actually it is the map of Russia.

In order for Operation Zitadell to succeed you have to secure the surroundings.

Only thing missing is ten to twelve hexes more in the North for the Northern force to sweep upon Kursk.

But then the map would have to be longer than 36 turns, perhaps 50.

I can always add those hexes after this map is balanced, and then call it OP Zitadell 2 or something.

It would be kool to have a Northern force that had to sweep on both sides of Kursk.

Then late game you would see allot of prestige for Russia show up like 350 and let the player buy the tank force to defeat Germany.

Now I have the same problem with Bodin on the same map.

I'm not going to control alt delete every turn.

I'm beginning to wonder if the problem stems partly from the local PC. I played turns of Razz and my Kursk game on my laptop today and each time the turn uploaded without a problem (a bit slow, but no problems). Back on my normal desktop PC turns only upload after the problems described above.
