Yeah - the same - the shadows are to different, ging not good with the terain graphic - also you have different light effect for every unit - but we need exactly the same camoflagge style in the same nation and light effects for all WW3 units.
BTW - good work - but its better we wait to call the original designer with his working way. light effects and do some new 3d units with 3dmax and poser.
Or you talk with Wyrmshadow to use his units for PC or make some new ones - he build up all the nice figures with Bryce and poser and use his own 3d park.

Use animation shop 3 to see all animations. BTW you can also transform all the attack animations to png and use the sound effects for your modding !

Here is an first example for the most NVA vehicles - rebuild in 20 minutes - very easy with Gimp 2 and animation shop 3 - looks better and more plastic !

You can do that for the 500 other units - Gary build up the infantry and than we can go to WW3. The attack animation selection for every unit is much work, but possible in 3-4 days hard work ! Also you can use the unit info large.pcx for PC UI graphics.
First preview of my NVA 1989 Motschützen (rendered with Poser) :

First preview of the finished 9th eastern german tank division - BTW an Elite Division - The Division attacks the border south of Lübeck and fight against 2 western german tank brigades with Leopard 1 and 2 and goes to Hamburg with Support of the Soviet divisions attacking there with one mech division and an Elite Paratroops division landing south of the river Elbe.
I will test the first scenario yet and give some screens. The mod runs in Company level and the map scale is like my big map mod for WW2 1km = 1 Hex. The map is 380 x 650 Hexes (Eastern and western Germany and parts of Austria, CSSR, Danmark, Belgia and Netherlands.

I think - you dont understand me ! Can you give me an exactly answer - I know the features - but I will start with helicopters as an new unit class - load and unload special troops with his helicopters or as newhelicopter capacity to every terrain. You can transport between airfields.
If you want the unit with a parachute so you can drop an Abrams tank from the sky... good luck!
H.Balck
You didn't read far enough. The answer is there.
Use the para trait.
Assign the unit the para trait.

I think what he means is any ground unit can be transported by "air transport" from one airfield to another, however only units desgnated in the e-file as "para" can actually drop (they still have to load at an airfield however, nor can they have organic transport assigned))HBalck wrote:I think - you dont understand me ! Your mod seams to be very tactical and I think having dedicated transport helos as independant units that can pick up and drop off other units is not possible at this time.
Maybe you could create a new class of organic transport, the "airlift helo" (like trucks halftracks etc) and only assign to units that warrent airlift capacity on the tactical level. Mod the movment rate so they can go over terrain apropriately etc (hope that makes sence) In some ways it would be similiar to the way that Peoples General handled airmobile units)
Your work looks really nice by the way, cheers!

Yes ! All others is kindergarden playing for us - BTW you can also produce your own mod - the most PC - player wills play small level things with small unit trees on Minimaps. I (and many others of my old JTCS friends) will play with real planed operations in the 80th and real existed troops in an historical context.but are you certain that the game scale lends itself well to your project?

Here in any case my first modified units, with light coming from the right ....

Looks better with AT light animation I think. AT light is the second shot in the video.
I mostly plugged in random numbers for the equipment stats, but the efx lines are set properly.

While we understand some players do like huge maps and complex mechanics, suggesting that anything else is for kindergarden is obviously blatantly wrong
The vast majority of us simply dont have the time to invest in these huge maps and Pz Corps maps are ideal for life with a wife and 3 kids. Panzer Corps will never be attemting to supply that level of detail or complexity.
Please bear in mind that what you want is not what everyone else wants and this does not make them wrong

I also think as you iainmcneil, the project is beautiful but too ambitious.iainmcneil wrote:While we understand some players do like huge maps and complex mechanics, suggesting that anything else is for kindergarden is obviously blatantly wrong
