Rename Units

can someone tell me how to rename my units?

Alt + N while the unit is selected.

Rename units to something like Das Reich, Totenkopf, or Liebstandarte???

But seriously, all levity aside, I've always liked when you could rename units in a game. Not only does it often make identification easier, but in typical RPG fashion it encourages the player to care even more about the forces carried over from battle to battle.

Same here. In this game, I just rename the SE units mostly, but yes, naming adds to the RPG factor.

I've restarted the main campaign and with the fall of Poland I've already renamed two units: the 7th Panzer and the Von Richthofen Squadron.

Needless to say these are the first of hopefully many units that I will be watching carefully and grooming for the times when the battles get significantly harder. Of course those SE units will be my SS divisions.

I rename my units once they get a Hero so I can tell what the bonus is for each one without looking at their Battle History. For example, the first tank that gets a Hero (say it's +2 Attack), I would rename it "1st Pz +2 Att".
