I found out that in Norway you get more prestige awarded for a Marginal victory than a Decisive (for game play reasons) but does this apply throughout the campaign?
For example I'm currently playing Barbarossa and I want to go to Kiev (1 extra scenario...) I can choose to go there following a decisive victory but if I get more prestige for a mrginal victory I may as well opt for that option!!!

You want to get the Decisive Victory on that one and will get more Prestige. Norway is the only one I'm aware of that has that quirk. I believe it was due to the unique win conditions for that map. As far as Kiev goes, I use it for training some new troops since you only get 18 deployment slots and it's a fairly easy map. If you want to think ahead, the US East Coast mission has a big jump to 35 slots from Moscow 41's 29 slots. Normally, you only have 2 new slots available so 6 new ones is a lot to fill with "rookies". So, it makes Kiev a great place to rest your veterans and train some new units in anticipation of the US invasion.

And Herr Pferdmann's chief of staff proves useful once more...righto aiming for a decisive then...shame about my slow start!AgentX wrote:You want to get the Decisive Victory on that one and will get more Prestige. As an aside I'll probably only aim for a marginal at Moscow 41 to get some more scenarios in before I (hopefully) head for the USA

look at the campaign tree in the library section, it's quite useful to know when you have to rush your units to achieve decisive victory, and when it's better to progress slowly and have less casualties than normal. in norway, sea lion 40, barbarossa, kiev, moscow 41 you can have marginal victories (then in stalingrad, kiev and moscow 43 you must have decisive victories to go to USA) and still end up in USA (east cost and mid west can also be marginal victories). don't know how much prestige u get in the next scenarios following marginal victories, but i assume it's better to have less casualties than more prestige to buy new units to replace the ones you lost.
I think you need a decisive victory in sealion 40 to progress to the USA...either that or a decisve in moscow 41 to then go onto Sealion 42 and then the USASardaukarCRO wrote:look at the campaign tree in the library section, it's quite useful to know when you have to rush your units to achieve decisive victory, and when it's better to progress slowly and have less casualties than normal. in norway, sea lion 40, barbarossa, kiev, moscow 41 you can have marginal victories (then in stalingrad, kiev and moscow 43 you must have decisive victories to go to USA) and still end up in USA (east cost and mid west can also be marginal victories). don't know how much prestige u get in the next scenarios following marginal victories, but i assume it's better to have less casualties than more prestige to buy new units to replace the ones you lost.
