cover airplanes

Post by tortiator »

hi

have a question about the covering from airplanes like the german ju87

where have to set the covering fighter like the bf109 to secure the ju87? actually sometimes it works, but most of it the allies would shoot down my ju87....

X = ju
o= bf
a=allie

f.e
o
x
a

works

ox
a

doesn´t work....

I'm not sure whats going wrong, as long as the fighter is next to the bomber it will intercept...

However each fighter can only intercept once a turn so if the bomber comes under multiple attacks it will suffer

Fighters out of ammo also should not intercept IIRC. Now I wonder if that counts for fuel as well.

Entrenchment Ratio = (def entr rate + 1) /(att entr rate + 1)

Good point about the ammo, as for out of fuel..won't they crash? when does the resupply happen if you're next to an airfield? the end or the begining of the turn?

Thanks, so that means they cant intercept if they're out of fuel as they've either crashed or refueled!
