Difference between multi and single player
Seems like all the stuff being made here is for multiplayer. I looked in the editor guide and can't see any difference between a map or scenario between the two. Is there any difference? If so, what? Thanks.
So to change a multi scenario to a sp scenario I'd have to cycle through all the units and shift click each one with AI behavior?Kerensky wrote:The primary difference between a single and multiplayer map is a single player map requires AI configuration.
This is accomplished through shift clicking a pre-placed unit, and configuring the bottom field named AI Behavior.
Doesn't sound too difficult.
Does it say this in the Editor manual and I missed it?
There is no true difference between a single player and multiplayer scenario. The same map will function in both regards.
For a single player map to play decently, however, it must be properly configured, which means setting up the map and units to make use of the current AI behaviors.
AI behaviors are not covered in detail, but their existence is mentioned in section 4.7.
As for making AT guns behave like AD, you would have better success trying to emulate artillery defensive fire behavior, which theoretically is possible to mod.

Thanks Kerensky, any hint where to look for that change ? Look in equipment.pzeqp but not see any idea how to do that or I look in wrong file. In equipment.pzeqp file difference in AT and Artillery is in "Class" where for AT is 3 and for Artillery is 4. If I change AT Class to 4, is AT will appear in Artillery for buy and become Artillery class or or it will stand in AT class and only change behavior ? Strongpoint unit have what I want to have with AT if I'm correct, but I want to AT react in defense only when Hard unit attack, if that is not possible than behavior like Artillery is not that bad . (My apology for bad english)
Sorry guys, it is not possible to make AT providing defensive fire.
As for SP vs. MP, main point to keep in mind is that the AI only "knows" how to defend VHs (in defensive stance) or capture them (in attacker stance). So, any more complex victory conditions will not work with the AI, configured or not. But if the scen is centered around capturing and defending VHs, the AI should be able to work there even with no additional configuration, although it may improve AI performance a little bit.

OK, thanks on answer Rudankort. I menage to modify equipment.pzeqp file and move AT to Artillery ( Class 3 to 4 ) and AT behave almost I want ( don't want to attack soft target in defense only hard) but need answer on attacking roll, does AT tanks suffer from attacking that way, if does that will be satisfying method for my maps and don't need any other patch.
Is it possible to give the AT dual fire like the German 88s?savic13 wrote:OK, thanks on answer Rudankort. If so maybe allowing them to support in 1 mode with a range of 2 (so they can do so from behind) but with 0 soft attack factor and maybe slightly lower AT value too - this could simulate them being dispersed amonsgt Infantry formations and of course the other mode as they are now?
