1) I've been informed that if you get a Minor Victory in Norway you actually get more prestige awarded than for a Decisive....I kinda undersatnd the reasons (game play...if you're doing well you don't need any more help) but is this true accross the board? Am I better off not getting a decisive in any scenario unless I need it to steer the campaign the way I want it?
2) Having pretty much burnt through all my Prestige buying reinforcements and upgrades for my forces ready for the low countries when I came out of set up and on to the 1st turn I suddenly gained a load? is this normal? I don't remmeber getting a boost like this at the begining of Norway...though I may be mistaken
Another 2 questions....

Most of the time, you want to get Decisive Victories so you get the desired campaign path. For instance, a DV in Poland gets you Norway while a Marginal Victory dumps you into the Low Countries kind of unprepared. Go to the Library and check out the Campaign Tree. It will show the paths the campaign can take and you can plan how you want it to go (barring some mishap, of course). For example, I highly recommend getting DV's in Low Countries and France as that is the only way to get to Sealion '40. Though it is a hard map, it is much easier than Sealion '42 and better to eliminate the British early in the campaign. To get an idea of the differences, load up both maps from the Scenario Menu and view them with Fog of War off. In Sealion '42, you start off in a much worse position for your landing craft plus your Navy is smaller while the Royal Navy is larger, the enemy has many more planes (I think I counted 12!) and the Brits have more armor than before. You will probably lose a lot of units on this map and should be avoided by getting the DV's on LC and France. Same goes for your choice of Moscow battle and you have three: Rush to Moscow, Moscow '41 and Moscow '43. Either Rush to Moscow or Moscow '41 is preferable to Moscow '43. Try to take the path that avoids that one.

About this, you are not supposed to get any bonuses in Low Countries, unless you capture some cities - this is of course rewarded with prestige.Horseman wrote:2) Having pretty much burnt through all my Prestige buying reinforcements and upgrades for my forces ready for the low countries when I came out of set up and on to the 1st turn I suddenly gained a load? is this normal?
