It wasn't necessarily aimed at you but meant more as general statetment. If someone want to cheat in a single player game there is no way to stop him. He can use the save/reload trick, the built in cheat codes or in worst case some trainer. On the other hand i don't see a problem with cheating in a single player game. For me personally it ruins mostly the fun but if someone else wants to do that .. whatever floats your boat.Kissaki wrote:Dude, I'm not the sort of guy to ignore stickies. Ah, I see. Felt like I was misunderstood, there, as my comment was tongue-in-cheek to Razz's tongue-in-cheek comment.Tarrak wrote:It wasn't necessarily aimed at you but meant more as general statetment. I actually disagree, I think their design decisions were correct and as for the arrow; you might not like it, I actually do.TheGrayMouser wrote:

also i click on a unit and then went to the unit on the far right of the screen where al lthe option are and that damn arrow followed me (mouse pointer) ziggzagging all the way over, jeesh
alternative: have a slightly shaded move radius, have the mouse pointer change to leg or truck icon when you hover over a legal hex to move to.

For now, the best advice is to use resolution switch available before the game is started. But we plan to look into better support of hi-rez displays in the future.WabeWalker wrote:At 2560x1440, the graphics are just a little too far zoomed out, and are causing my eyes to be strained - any way to fix this?
Just an unimaginably great game, by the way.

Ooh just saw this post. 2nd'd by me please. I think I am running at 1920 X 1200? or thereabouts and it is too difficult to see. I have had to drop to 1200 X something (or thereabouts)Rudankort wrote:For now, the best advice is to use resolution switch available before the game is started. I also wish they would make those arrows and dots smaller and more opaque. First night, I tried to make those big white dots smaller with paintshop but it ended up saving a white square with a small white dot blocking the hex. I hav'nt attempted anything since. Hope the developers alter these so they are less obvious.^ I wish they would post wear to go to fix this as I would mod it to be more opaque too.
Perhaps a switch in the options like the border. Use the current view as bold and offer a softer more opaque view
Another zoom level in between would also be good.
Sounds like you forgot to switch off the background layer in the png.soldier wrote:I also wish they would make those arrows and dots smaller and more opaque. If the backround is on (which is white in the original png's) you will be able to see it as white square in the game since it covers the entire hex.
Just drag and drop your new dot and arrows into the existing png as a new layer, then select the old layer and delete it,then save the file.
Don't use "save as" just save the original file with your changes.
Be sure to backup your original file first ofc.

So...today another short question!
I´m playing the 1939-45 Campaign - now i´ve to affranchise Budapest. But how is it possible to win this scenario? I´ve 6 King Tigers and two Tigers, all between 12-14 points,´and the only thing i had to do in the first 10 rounds is killing Russian Tanks. And after that, it isn´t over...than, the next few tanks are comming.
In my opinion, you need minimum 10 King Tigers to win - but from where should i get so many King Tigers?^^
The Italien Scenario in den Campaign was so easy, also the Normandie was Ok, but this is really depressing. I´ve tried it 10 times, and after 16 rounds, my tanks running out of ammo, fuel, time and there are still many many enemytanks left.

I'm not sure how to switch off the background, can't find the option for it and i don't know how to save the dots as layers on top of other PNG files. Too be honest I'm not sure if these options are even available with the standard windows "paint" program I'm using.Sounds like you forgot to switch off the background layer in the png.

You said u are using Paintshop (Corel Paintshop Pro)right?soldier wrote: I'm not sure how to switch off the background, can't find the option for it and i don't know how to save the dots as layers on top of other PNG files. This would support layers ofc but MS Paint i ve never realy used
so i can't say if it supports layers but it wouldn't suprise me if it didn't.
Yes you can. And easily as long you loose some time learning to work with Photoshop or the free Gimp.soldier wrote:I thought it was called paintshop but on closer inspection its actually just paintI guess it can't be done
