Anything WW2 Korps.

Anything pre 73 Middle East Korps.

Anything pre 73 South East Asia and Korea.

Sorry simply can't get into fantasy scifi for this game engine, it's already been done and done better by Heroes of Might and Magic and Age of Wonders as well as Earlier versions of Civilization. Never try to steal a market that is already used up.

The reason we want Steel Panthers back, is that is the yard stick everything gets measured by.

You never try to beat something no one believes can be replaced.

I'm glad as hell Panzer Korps is here. I think Panzer Korps did well, because we essentially see Panzer Korps as Panzer General reborn.

I think what people are really asking for, when they say Allied General, is the ability to play the other side. Which is really just Panzer Korps with an expansion called Panzer Korps: Allies. I seriously expect to see every expansion labelled some form of Panzer Korps: [expansion name].

Calling them Panzer General expansion names, is actually disrespectful of THIS game when you think of it :) This is Panzer Korps' time to shine.

Sorry,

Allied Corps
Korea Corps
Palestine Corps (Arab Israeli conflicts)
Vietnam Corps
Gulf War Corps

Could have been extra options, can't add them now i think...

Fantasy general was by far the best in the original series, it was highly acclaimed and had its following. On the other hand Star General did not do well, but other games - for example Warhammer 40K on people's general engine were quite ok. Hence I don't see why not, this is something totally different from the series you mention and shouldn't be compared.

I agree, there is definaltely a market for it, I mean look at Fansay Wars/Elven Leagcy. Quite popular games, but they lacked the broad scope of the original. Picked up one in the bargain bin hoping to get that Fansay General feel but found it lacking(plus the specs to run a turn based game were absurdly high!) . These guys could do it right :)

I'd go for Allied Corps, my favorite, Six Day War or Yom Kippur War Corps, or my other favorite, Winter War Corps.

I cant believe no one has mentioned Peace Korps.

Start with weaker units , the hippster, the wayward bored rich kid, and work your way up to the uber unit ; corporate lawyer.

Franco-Prussian war, Crimea, American Civil War... in fact a XIX General would be nice. One with Napoleon and Crimea and second onwards.
Anyway I'll buy every Panzer Corps sequel, it doesn't matter which.

I would like to play the role where I would have a B-52 to blow up the corporate lawyer unit.

I personally would love to see a remake of Fantasy General. Fanstasy Wars/Elven Legacy were nice, but there was something missing.

Imho expansion means one gets new, additional content for an existing game which is fully compatible with it.

A sequel could be something not compatible but still playing in the same "theatre"but maybe on a new, improved game engine(like
HOI1,2 and 3,Suddenstrike1,2,3 or PG1 and 2).

Stuff like Fantasy or Star General would be completley new games, the only thing they would have in common with PzC would be the word"Corps" ,the company who makes the game and the fact that the game is round based.

So since the devs have already said that africa is on top of their list,Pacific General is the only real choice here because,
most of the other WW2 stuff in the poll's list can be already done by PzC-modding.

i think after Afrika korps they have to make a soviet centered campaign. from invasion of poland to the rush for berlin. i m tired of western allied campaign.

Stop making sense, the next thing you know they will make it a requirement to post :)

Yeah too often I think people see a game style they like, and immediately they want it to do virtually anything.
I am not sure the program can't do entire flights of fantasy at the code level, but I sure don't want the game released as the same game, just new graphics. That was what was wrong with Civilization 2/Alpha Centauri to some extent. It was the same game, they just swapped out the images. it became a challenge to see what original unit that had used to make fantasy units. Hmm Dragon, must have used a Helicopter unit.

WW2 and Korea had a lot in common militarily, but still jet fighters are not the same as prop fighters. They are going to have limits to what they can simulate with the program. Theatre wise, well the Germans were after all in the entire war in Europe, the US were not fully active till 42. The side you pick, will determine what choices you have for an expansion. The war in Russia is beaten to death, but, you sure get a lot of war to play with on that front. The war in the desert, as active as it was, was really not too long before it was concluded, and the terrain was very limited at some scales of action. The war in the Pacific was almost totally naval aside from the fighting in the SE of asia. I have seen a lot of games able to do Europe excellently, fall on their face when trying to just go to the Pacific as if it doesn't matter they are not the same. Once you go past squad level, your success rate is not assured.

Hit the nail right on the head!
And for me, especially Vietnam and Arab/Israeli.
